Tianna has been serving and engaging with young people for man years. She spent her high school and college years serving at Crystal Springs Camp as a volunteer, but then joined as a support staff member and lead counselor. She graduated summa cum laude from Lee University with a bachelor’s in english and went on to work in editorial roles, including Serving in Mission International and the christian book publisher InterVarsity Press. Most recently, she held the grant writer for Mesa Global and instructed small group literacy at New Hopewell Elementary and Bonny Kate Elementary.
Recently returning to Knoxville, Tianna heard wonderful things about Emerald Youth. In having a desire to invest in and offer support, care and Christ’s love to children in the community, Tianna joined the EYF staff.
Tianna attends Mosaic Knox and spends time with Hearts for Internationals, a Pigeon Forge based ministry serving international students on a work-travel visa. She often returns to John 6:68-69 as it shows her how there is no alternative once you have experienced new life in Christ! In her free time, you can find Tianna playing with her dog Fabian, hiking, painting, reading, thrifting and even making her own kombucha!
