As a middle school youth, Tavaris Lee moved to Knoxville from Alabama with his family and has been here ever since.

Following graduation from Karns High School, Tavaris attended Tennessee Technological University where he majored in business administration. He’s worked as a kickboxing trainer, personal trainer and at top performance facilities in East Tennessee. Tavaris has also helped NFL players with their performance training.

He first connected with Emerald Youth in 2018 through a friend who volunteered, eventually leading Tavaris to serve as a volunteer, including teaching nutrition and fitness classes.

Tavaris loves being on staff with Emerald using his experience and knowledge of fitness to serve city youth and families.
