Rachel Davis graduated from Auburn University, Montgomery, in 2003 with a bachelor’s in sociology and moved to Knoxville to serve as an AmeriCorps member with Emerald Youth Foundation.
It was the mission of Emerald Youth and the beauty of East Tennessee that convinced her to stay in Knoxville after serving two AmeriCorps terms. She officially joined Emerald Youth’s staff, and in 2010 received a master’s in human resources development from Tusculum College.
Rachel is a Minnesota native who spent her childhood in Alabama and high school years in Illinois. She resides in west Knoxville with her husband, children and dogs. Her family attends church in Oak Ridge, where she enjoys her ministry as church photographer, a longtime hobby of hers.
