Planned Giving

Leaving a gift to Emerald Youth Foundation in your will or by beneficiary designation is a great way to invest in the future of our youth and make a lasting difference for tomorrow. Leaving a gift is easy and rewarding. Many people are surprised to learn how easy it is to make a lasting difference for the charities they love by leaving a gift in their will or by naming them as beneficiaries of a retirement plan and/or other financial account.

What is Planned Giving?

Planned giving is a win-win approach to philanthropic donations that supports Emerald Youth Foundation and can benefit you now or in the future. Simply put, planned giving is the transfer of assets to Emerald Youth during a lifetime or as part of an estate plan. This forward-thinking approach to giving is “planned” because often these assets are not liquid, have tax consequences, and are generally transferred via a will or other written means.

It’s Easy

Whether it is naming Emerald Youth in your will or trust, or a gift of house and property, there is an easy option that is right for you.

How You Benefit

  • You decide how much to give – no gift is too small.

  • Your gift costs you nothing now.

  • You can take care of your family first.

  • You retain control of your assets during your lifetime and can change your mind if circumstances change.

  • You may choose to keep your gift anonymous.

  • You can leave a gift in honor or memory of someone who inspired your commitment to our youth.

  • You will be remembered as someone who raised our youth to become promising, Godly young adult leaders.
