Mickeeya “Mickee” Harrison was raised in Evanston, Illinois and moved to Knoxville in 2002 to attend the University of Tennessee. She earned her bachelor's degree in sociology and master’s degree in social work.
Most of Mickee’s career has centered around youth in different settings like afterschool programs, coaching sports, foster care, transitional living, and homeless youth & families.
She wishes to “seamlessly live out her faith and serve her community” while at Emerald Youth.
She is a part of Overcoming Believers Church in Knoxville, and is currently pursuing ministerial training through Love and Faith Ministries in Snellville, GA. She also has three children: Malachi, Macaiah, and Michael.
Mickee enjoys reading, working out, hiking, gardening, and being with her family.
Fun fact: She recently retired from playing in women’s semi-pro football as a running back and middle line backer.
