Kristie grew up in beautiful Northeast Tennessee. She moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee where she heard and truly understood the gospel for the first time in her freshman year. Kristie became a member of Cornerstone Church of Knoxville and served in outreach, worship, and children’s ministries.
After grad school, Kristie and her husband, Matt, remained in Knoxville. Initially she worked in the administrative offices at her local church, but for the last 21 years, Kristie has focused her time and attention on homeschooling her four sons while teaching several history and government courses at a local co-op. She also enjoys traveling, playing board games and reading to her grandbabies.
Having watched Emerald from afar and seeing their impact on local neighborhoods, Kristie is thrilled to be a part of the team and eager to serve God and serve Knoxville in this new role.
