Kelsey is a graduate of Alcoa High School and currently lives in Maryville, Tennessee. She obtained her bachelor’s in biblical studies and intercultural studies with a focus in English as a Second Language from Johnson University. Her diverse work experience includes camp counselor, dry cleaning extraordinaire, barista, baby whisperer/nursery worker, resident assistant in a local boarding school, after-school program teacher, AmeriCorps member and educational assistant. For the last eight years she has worked in the school system. 

Kelsey’s parents have been married for over 40 years and still live in Alcoa where her older sister, brother-in-law and nephews also live. She attends Broadway Baptist Church in Maryville where she enjoys spending time with friends, singing and serving. 

Kelsey enjoys being outside hiking and camping. She currently lives in a camper with her dog, fish, frog and snails. She takes walks with her dog, spends lots of time listening to audio books, and enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures which is why she has traveled to five continents. Most likely when you see Kelsey, she’ll have water in one hand, maybe a snack in the other and Chacos on her feet.
