Gracie Blair was born and raised in Greeneville, TN. She moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee and graduated with a degree in Child & Family Studies.

She served in a variety of nonprofit settings and many of the agencies revolved around working with children and families. Gracie felt called to serve at Emerald Youth throughout college and in her senior year, she got involved. She prayed for opportunities to pour into the lives of others, and says it was God who led her here as an answered prayer. She chose Emerald Youth as her placement site for her school practicum in January 2021. It was then, she served as an AmeriCorps member, and after her term was finished – she continued to serve as a volunteer.

Gracie attends Fellowship Church on Middlebrook Pike. For her family and friend relationships she says, “I’m thankful that my family are like friends and my friends are like family.”

In her free time, she loves watching all sports. She is a big reader, enjoys going on hikes, walks, and traveling. A fun fact about Gracie is she caught a 20lb. shark!
