Dustin and his wife Kayla moved to Knoxville from Colorado Springs after falling in love with the area during a vacation in 2018.

When he was 19, Dustin began his journey in youth ministry serving at the Springs Community Church’s youth group for seven years. This time allowed him to discover a deep passion for seeing young people come to know the Lord and grow in their relationship with Christ. After getting married, Dustin and Kayla both transitioned into adult ministry and became pastors in a small community.

In attending the 2024 Legacy Dinner, Dustin was completely blown away by the impact Emerald has had on the youth and their families in Knoxville. He saw how his past journey in ministry aligned perfectly with Emerald’s mission and vision, and he is excited to contribute and be committed to empowering youth and fostering faith throughout our city.

In his free time, Dustin enjoys any activity that allows him to spend time with his wife, being with others in fellowship, and watching NASCAR! He and his wife are excited to be launching a home gathering in the new year to create space for fellowship and spiritual growth.
