Denise was led to work with Emerald Youth because of the similarities between the ministry’s vision and her vision for Knoxville’s city neighborhoods.
She was excited to find a place where, as she says, “I could live out my mission with a bunch of other people who are passionate about the same things!”
Denise went to High Point University in Massachusetts and then Piedmont Bible College in North Carolina. She worked in a Christian daycare and has served children in other areas, such as middle school and high school teachers.
She attends Fellowship Church and is involved with Worldview and Culture Discipleship team and the Hispanic Ministry.
Denise lived in New York City with her family, then all moved to North Carolina and Florida. She and her husband now reside in Knoxville.
She enjoys dancing, staying active, reading, crafting, and writing. Denise says she’s “always looking for ways to grow and improve while encouraging and speaking belief into others.”
