Danielle was born in Florida but quickly moved to Knoxville when she was just five months old. She graduated from The King’s Academy in 2016 and went on to Johnson University where she earned her B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling along with a B.S. in Bible and Theology. Danielle began playing volleyball in 6th grade and continued playing throughout her four years in undergrad.
Before joining Emerald Youth, Danielle was an Elementary P.E. teacher and head high school volleyball coach. Her experience playing volleyball as well as coaching volleyball profoundly impacted her life. The role of Volleyball Ministry Director will allow her the opportunity to give back to the sport that gave her so much, but most importantly, be a vessel for God’s love to be spread to those involved in the program. Danielle feels blessed to be a part of Emerald’s team and its mission to equip, support, train, and extend love to the students who walk through the gym doors.
During her free time, Danielle enjoys going to Panda Express for spring rolls, playing volleyball with her friends, and trying new recipes, especially sweets! She attends Gap Creek Christian Church in South Knoxville, and her favorite bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”
