Grace-filled Weekend
Emerald Youth high school students, staff, pastors and small group leaders – 110 in total – descended on Pigeon Forge the third weekend of January for the Resurrection Youth Conference.
Thousands of teens and adults from throughout the Southeast attended the conference, which has become an annual tradition for our high school youth representing Fulton, Austin-East and Central high schools. They heard messages from Jorge Acevedo, lead pastor of Grace Church in Southwest Florida, and enjoyed worship led by the band I AM THEY.
“The high schoolers were reminded that God’s grace is enough, and we don’t earn our way into His love,” said Kent Stanger, director of area ministries - north. “Instead, Jesus has done that for us on the cross. There was also a focus to be missionaries in our own communities, at school and in our homes.”
Thanks to your generosity, we can provide meaningful retreats like Resurrection for our high school youth…a weekend that is only possible for them because of your investment.
