Adelyn is a Knoxville native with family ties to the Lonsdale community. She received a bachelor's in psychology and sociology from Maryville College and a master's in integrated marketing communications from St. Bonaventure University.

 Adelyn first became involved with Emerald Youth in college when she was a Bonner Scholar and volunteered with nonprofits in the community.  

 She's always had a passion for children and serving Knoxville and the surrounding communities. Throughout high school and college she volunteered with Family Promise, New Hope Children's Advocacy Center, Eternal Life Harvest Center, Martin Luther King, Jr. Center and East Tennessee Children's Hospital. While at Maryville College, she had the opportunity to travel to Switzerland and study international child welfare.

 In her free time, Adelyn enjoys spending time with her husband and family, watching movies, reading, cheering on the UT Volunteers, traveling and photography.

 Her favorite verse, Jeremiah 29:11, inspires her to give back to the community and positively impact the lives of children: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
