Matt Deen grew up in inner-city Nashville.
As a child, he was involved in an after-school and summer program called Youth Encouragement Service (YES) based out of a local ministry, St. Luke's Community House. It truly was the center of Matt's community.
When he became interested in serving in Marble City – located in the Sutherland Avenue/Third Creek Greenway area – Matt noticed the neighborhood children didn't have anything like he experienced growing up.
He wanted to help change that, and now lives and serves in Marble City through JustLead at Laurel Church of Christ, a ministry the community has truly embraced.
