Jean "JB" Faton grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, and now resides in Knoxville.
He started working with Emerald Youth Foundation in 2017 after earning his bachelor's degree from Johnson University with a focus on Bible and theology and sports/fitness.
JB's passion is to inspire children to consider their future – children who he believes have huge hearts that just need "a little push of hope and belief." He enjoys spending time with the kids and showing them opportunities they might not have considered for their lives. Bridging the gap for young people through faith, education, and friendship brings a huge smile to his face and keeps him going day after day.
When JB isn't serving kids at Mount Zion Baptist, you can find him enjoying the outdoors or reading books about history, culture, rhythm of life or other internationally-focused topics. And during football season, he's cheering on the Miami Dolphins.
